Hello!
How’s nearly-spring treating you?
It’s a stunner of a day here in East Nashville—sun shining, birds singing, flowers blooming, the whole package. We have some good news and some not-so-good news to share with you...
Good news: we made a lyric video for one of the songs on our new album! And we’ve set up a YouTube “premiere” for it at noon (Central) tomorrow. The premiere involves a CHAT WINDOW where you can comment and pester us while watching. But you’ll have to be quick about it if you want to participate! (There’s a “notify me” button on the video countdown page.)
Not-so-good news: our CDs arrived with bad printing (like: it ain’t right), so we’re slogging through the process of trying to get the packages re-printed correctly. It’s a bummer and a frustration, but we’ll hold off on publicly shaming the company until we see how it all gets resolved… in the meantime, we have NO clue whether we’ll get the stuff in time for our pre-release shows in St. Louis and Chicago. Fingers crossed. Also: we have both just come down with colds — for the second time in the last two months! What’s up with that?? We’re slurping down hot beverages and aiming to be back in fighting shape ASAP. All small potatoes compared to everything else that’s going on, obviously, but figured we’d keep you in the loop.
Other Tidbits
The Criterion Channel currently has a “French Poetic Realism” collection—beautifully shot films from the ‘30s & ‘40s. Not exactly cheerful, but really gorgeous. That led us to rewatching La Bete Humaine, which led to us rewatching the later American version (Human Desire—which doesn’t stand up very well in comparison with its French counterpart). Then KK decided to read the Emile Zola novel on which the films are based.
We got a surprise gift subscription to the Troubadour Concert Rooms newsletter from its writer, John Laird. It includes a very handy compendium of listening rooms for self-booking artists like ourselves! So a grateful shoutout to John for sharing this resource with us.

Tour Dates
March 28: The Focal Point / St. Louis, MO
March 30: Fitzgerald’s / Berwyn, IL
May 9: The G.A.R. Hall / Peninsula, OH [ticket link coming soon!]

KK and RG - sorry about the CD. Shit happens. Can you tell me what you guys charge for a performance? thinking about a big outdoor evening and potluck this summer. If you want to answer directly, it's norway@triad.rr. com. It's in Greensboro, NC. We all LOVED your performance at the Carolina Theatre last year and would love to think about a repeat. It comes with a nice bed and breakfast!
Thank you for your update friends. It made me happy.
