cont’d...grr... as one of his “Furies” (I was completely spellbound at that show). For the record, Aoife was/is my first bluegrass cousin - she graciously performed (a capella) a few songs at a memorial gathering for Ruth’s mom (my Dad’s kid sister Cynthia) and I said to her in a playful way that she was now family and she very sincerely came back without missing a beat that she’d be honored to be a member of such a family. Alrighty then!! Ever since she has had great fun torturing my fanboy Gemini self...she’s a Scorpio (wouldn’t ya know 😖) but hey! That’s what family does! I think I “sealed the deal” on my stage name when I walked up to Ron Thomason (Dry Branch F. S. ) at a Grey Fox ( at the still (at the time) “new” farm ) and said, “hiya Ron! I’m yer long-lost cousin Adam!” and stuck out my hand. Without missing a beat he replies, “cousin Adam huh? Y’know, that could be....”. I could see the wheels in his head cooking up a plausible backstory- but he shook my hand and said‘pleased to finally meet you- hope you’re having fun here at Grey Fox! For sure, Ron, FO SHO!! Made my day! My nickname has been consecrated!! The rest, as they say......

Ciao fer now! Break a leg on the first!

Awright ya got me- installing bandsintown app as I type this.... and plan to sign up for Cafe Lena on 7/1! I caught the recent Maeve Gilchrist/ B Molsky show there..... deeelightful!! Shortly thereafter received a newsletter from her announcing that she and hubby are expecting a “harpette” due to arrive in November!! They were “over the moon” about it and fanboy that I am 🤪fired off a congratulatory email, shamelessly touting my cousin connection with Ruth and Rob, and resulting friendship with Bruce and Daryl A, who brought (now ‘cousin)’ Maeve
